Association between interpregnancy interval and adverse birth outcomes in women with a previous stillbirth: An international cohort study
The Lancet Apr 18, 2019
Regan AK, et al. - Using data from birth records from Finland (1987–2016), Norway (1980–2015), and Western Australia (1980–2015), researchers conducted this international cohort study to explore the connection between interpregnancy interval after stillbirth and birth outcomes in the subsequent pregnancy. Findings suggested that conception within 12 months of a stillbirth was common and in the subsequent pregnancy was not related to increased risk of adverse outcomes. These outcomes could be used to advise women planning future pregnancies after a stillbirth and to inform future pregnancy spacing recommendations in a high-income setting.
