Association between IL-1B gene polymorphisms and Helicobacter pylori infection: A meta-analysis
Microbial Pathogenesis Oct 16, 2019
Ren HY, Wen LS, Geng YH, et al. - Via performing a meta-analysis, researchers sought to clarify the impact of IL-1B gene polymorphisms (IL-1B–511C/T, IL-1B–31C/T, IL-1B+3954C/T) on Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. Searching PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure and Wanfang databases until September 9, 2018, they included 45 articles with 9,606 cases and 5,654 controls in this meta-analysis. Outcomes suggest a significant relation of IL-1B–511C/T polymorphism with an increased risk of H. pylori infection under recessive model. They identified no correlation of IL-1B–31C/T polymorphisms and IL-1B+3954C/T polymorphisms with H. pylori infection.
