Vasilenko SA, et al. - Study's goal was to find out whether the prevalence of substance use disorders (SUDs) vary across age and differ by gender and race/ethnicity. The findings from the present study suggested relatively constant disparities by gender across age and a crossover effect for Black and White members. Researchers reported that Black individuals in midlife could be an important target of intervention programs for some substances.
