Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica Oct 18, 2018
Kuriyama A, et al. - In adults undergoing tracheal intubation for surgery, authors evaluated the effectiveness and safety of aerosolized corticosteroids in the prevention of a postoperative sore throat. Findings of this meta-analysis suggested that in preventing postoperative sore throat, aerosolized corticosteroids were superior to non-analgesic methods, but the evidence for efficacy and safety is still limited and not definitive. There were no adverse events.
