Zhang Q, et al. - Experts assessed the effectiveness and tolerability of cyclosporine A (CsA) as an adjuvant treatment for primary pterygium. The risk of pterygium recurrence could be significantly reduced by the adjuvant use of CsA vs pterygium excision alone, whereas the risk of pterygium recurrence in terms of pterygium excision + limbal conjunctival autograft or conjunctival flap rotation could not be decreased by the adjuvant use of CsA.
