Somani YB, et al. - This study investigated the efficacy of different forms of a simple isometric exercise test in predicting the blood pressure (BP) reductions resultant from different types of isometric resistance training (IRT) in healthy young adults. Findings suggested that for recognizing the possible responders to traditional IRT prescription, acute BP response to an isometric exercise test appeared to be a viable tool.
