Respiratory Medicine Dec 08, 2017
Haughney J, et al. - This retrospective cohort study was conducted to describe the pattern of distribution of blood biomarkers (IgE and eosinophils (EOS)) in a severe asthma population. Based on the findings, it was concluded that irrespective of exacerbations, maximum available EOS measurement may be relevant when considering therapy. Data also reported increased risk of frequent, severe exacerbations in high EOS groups, while, low IgE/Low EOS were shown to be more benign.
