A prospective study of patient-reported pain after bulbar urethroplasty

Urology Apr 27, 2018

Evans P, et al. - Authors sought to understand the prevalence of chronic perineal pain, activity limitations, and patient satisfaction after urethroplasty. The mean age of patients included in this study was 44.6 years. The body mass index was 30.9 kg/m2. Findings suggested that after urethroplast patients were highly satisfied. After urethroplasty, significant improvement in the pain frequency in the bladder and urethra was noted. Nonetheless, in some patients, perineal pain intensity could worsen and become chronic after surgery.
