A modified method of local infiltration for endoscopic stapes surgery: How I do it
European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology Dec 13, 2018
Cornejo-Suarez A, et al. - Authors sought to present a modified method of local infiltration (MMLI) for endoscopic stapes surgery to reduce surgical time, bleeding and complications. The use of a MMLI for endoscopic stapes surgery was reported for the first time in this study. The infiltration at one site is performed by the surgeon using this method and concurrently the surgeon observes the vasoconstriction signs without the use of a microscope, frontal lamp or speculum. Benefits in terms of operative time and complications are provided by this method.
