BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders Mar 22, 2019
Stockton R, et al. - In this study, 97 individuals were assessed to study comparatively the lumbar transverse pedicle angle (TPA) in a diverse community throughout various hospital centers. Researchers estimated randomly selected computed tomography (CT) scans from L1-L5 over a 2-week period for non-back pain-associated complaints. They recognized no statistically significant differences for TPAs at any vertebral level in association with gender, age, height or weight. Although, statistically significant variations were observed in transverse pedicle angles averages (TPA –Avg) at L2 and L3 when stratified by ethnicity.
